The software image from today supports this Wifi adapter out of the box.  You'll need to edit
the file network.txt which is on the SENSORGNOME micro SD disk, to enter the correct network ID and passphrase:

# WiFi network access for the sensorgnome
# Enter one pair of lines here.
# The first line in the pair is the network ESSID.
# The second line in the pair is the pre-shared-key (PSK),
# or pass phrase.  Do not use quotation marks.

# default is the taylor lab wireless network at acadia

This needs the following files:

/etc/network/interfaces:

auto wlan2
iface wlan2 inet dhcp
   wpa-ssid "FILL_IN_THE_WIRELESS_ROUTER_ESSID"
   wpa-psk  "FILL_IN_THE_PRE-SHARED_KEY"
