Sending Data for Automatic ProcessingEdit

The motus system processes raw datafiles from sensorgnomes and Lotek receivers centrally,
to ensure:

• all tags from all projects are sought in the data from all receivers
   
• you receive detections of your tags from any receivers
   
• a record is kept of how all detections were obtained from raw data
   
• changes to algorithms or tag registrations can be incorporated into re-runs of raw data
  in an organized way.

To send your SG / Lotek data for processing:

• use 7zip or your system's own compression software to create a .7z, .zip, or .rar archive
  of:

  • all .txt and .txt.gz files from one or more sensorgnomes

  • all .DTA (not .BIN or .TXT) files from one or more Lotek receivers

• upload the file to the motus site here

The upload requires credentials from https://motus.org

2016 Dec 23:  Please use our new upload site for all data transfers:

     https://archived.sensorgnome.org/upload

This requires the same username and password as sensorgnome.org

Please do not use wetransfer.com:  their Terms of Service have changed and no
longer permit automated downloads.

Please do not use Google Drive or Dropbox; they don't seem to provide any automatic
way to determine when folders have sync'd, so files you send that way can be
incomplete or corrupt.
